Tyler Gifted is a Massachusetts born music artist from the small city of Holyoke who blends hip-hop and melodic rap, channeling themes of pain, betrayal, heartbreak, struggle, everyday life, and self motivation. Raised by a Puerto Rican father and a Caucasian mother, Tyler spent much of his early life with his father while his mother set an example of relentless dedication instilling the work ethic that continues to drive his music today.
His journey began with freestyling, eventually leading him to build a home studio where he immersed himself in recording, mixing, mastering, and beat production. Along the way, Tyler engineered for local artists while releasing music independently, sharpening both his sound and his perspective. In 2018, he released his first EP, Piece of My Mind, followed by additional projects as his artistic vision evolved. In 2020, he released his debut project , Dual Nature, marking a turning point in his growth as an artist.
After more than a decade of pursuing his dream, Tyler reached a breaking point in 2023. Just as he considered walking away, his song “I’m a Man” gained traction on TikTok, introducing his music to a wider audience and reigniting his belief in his path. Soon after, his single “Losing Sleep” surpassed one million streams on Spotify, solidifying a major milestone in his independent career.
